Temple filler Injections

The Science

Dermal filler injections are made of a naturally-occurring substance found in the skin, and act to add or restore volume to the treated area. Magnolia uses a wide range of dermal fillers that vary in both viscosity (thickness) and elasticity, depending on your individual facial tissue and indication.

The Plain Speak

As is the case with the cheeks and lips, our temples suffer from volume loss as a result of the ageing process. Temporal hollowing leads to a lowering of the eyelid and eyebrow, skin laxity in the periorbital region (surrounding the eye), as well as a change in the overall shape of the face. As the temples hollow, the face takes on a ‘peanut’ shape, meaning the lower face becomes more dominant. This can be further exacerbated by volume loss in the cheeks, which causes the face to ‘sag’ and jowls to form.

Restoring volume in the temporal area can help correct these changes in facial shape, as well as lift the eyebrow and eyelid and reduce skin laxity, in order to provide a more youthful appearance.
Temple injection procedures are carried out by our Chief Cosmetic Physician, Dr Marty Mayberry.
